Game time 6pm, in Tewksbury august 16th
Hot one this Tuesday. I will NOT have the canopy or water. From the field, we are leaving on vacation. See you at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday Aug 9th at 6pm.
Nice temperatures for Seabrook Beach on Thursday Aug 11th at 6pm. There is some rain around, so, if it looks iffy, someone will need to watch the radar and call it on/off.
Hot Game!
The small cooler, marked “WATER”, has water in it for anyone.
FYI: 40th year discs will be here Tuesday Aug 16th or 23rd!!!!!
See you all Tuesday, Aug 2nd, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.
The radar shows the rain missing us! Game on!
See you at Seabrook Beach Thursday, July 28th at 6pm.
OK, let’s try to come back down to earth after reveling over the awesome NH Chronicle feature they did on us.
Actually, it was very awesome. So let’s watch it again: https://www.wmur.com/article/nh-chronicle-passing-the-frisbee-on-seabrook-beach-for-forty-years/40615021
Summer is here. Bring your water bottle, or, grab a cold one from the cooler marked “WATER”. See you Tuesday July 26th at the Tewksbury field at 6pm. Afterwards, the 99 has outdoor seating.
Thursday July 28th at Seabrook Beach. Try for 6pm.
3 cheers for those of us who challenged the storm clouds last Thursday, AND WON!
No rain and no wind. The calm after the storm. A good night.
MONDAY NIGHT July 18th at 7pm. WMUR, Channel 9 out of Manchester NH, is scheduled to air the “Hew Hampshire Chronicle” segment featuring us, Merrimack Valley Ultimate, at Seabrook Beach. I hear WMUR is carried by some of our cable services; My antenna picks them up; they stream on wmur.com.
An update on Tim, who hasn’t played with us a for a year or two, slipped on the sand last Thursday, and suffered a concussion. He got a CAT scan at Seabrook Emergency Room which showed all was normal with his head. YAY. He was quite chipper and back to himself by the time we got him and his car back to Manchester. His thanks goes out to all who helped him out, and repeatedly answered his “what just happened” questions.
Becky played a little on Thursday, but, was still hurting from a collision last Tuesday. These remind us that we need to play safe, be aware of other players, and watch our own feet. Play in control. We all want to go home at night, feeling great.
See you all Tuesday July 19th at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.
Thursday is low tide night for the rest of the season (every other Thursday).
Let’s start at 6pm. Maybe a film crew will show up.
Left behind at Saturday’s picnic:
Tune into WMUR channel 9, Manchester on Monday at 7pm for NH Chronicle. They do a live stream on wmur.com, and, some episodes get archived for replay.
Tuesday’s game is ON. It will be short. The storm arrives around 7pm, so, don’t be late and we will start promptly.
Fantastic party last Saturday. Thank you all for bringing munch-ables and helping out. I loved it.
Tuesday, July 12th at the field in Tewksbury: 6pm
Thursday is low tide night for July 14th, and the rest of the season (every other Thursday).
Let’s start at 6pm. Maybe a film crew will show up.
Looks like perfect weather for this years summer party!
The details:
When: Saturday, July 9th from 1pm on past fireworks, into the night, and, camp overnight if you wish.
Where: Ankers Pond, Londonderry NH (on Google maps), 52 Chase Rd. Londonderry NH
Who: This is a family event. We call this our “Frizzbee and Friends” party. You can bring your fun loving friends.
My cell: 603–965–6563
Food: I pick up burgers, hot-dogs, kolbassi, a number of soft drinks, bottled water, paper plates, etc. Everyone else (you) bring the snacks, salads, fruits, desserts, other grill food, beer.. you get the picture. It’s a long day and we consume a lot of food and drink. This is not catered.. everyone needs to pitch in to grill, slice tomatoes, run to the house to grab the forgotten salt and pepper.
What to expect: Pretty much a beach scene. Swim, zip, splash, volleyball, poleish horseshoes, horse horseshoes, corn hole, camp fire(s), shenanigans.
Music: Bring it! There is always some jamming that happens. No big band this year, so, it is on us. Watch out, Dave and I have practiced together twice!
Caution: This is a pond. Some like water shoes. There will be mosquitoes by firework time, and it will cool down (a hoodie cures both).
Other Stuff to Bring: Sunscreen, towel, and extra dry clothes.
!! 2 ultimate games this week:
Tuesday July 12th at the Tewksbury field
Thursday July 14th at Seabrook Beach (low tide in on Thursdays from here on out)
GAME ON! The ignore-able drizzle should end by game time. Bring dry shoes to go home, or to the 99, in.
Tuesday July 5th is a normal game in Tewksbury. 6pm.
Airing date for the best “New Hampshire Chronicle” ever, is scheduled for July 18th. The time is rumored to be 7pm. It also streams on wmur.com and recent episodes can be replayed.
Saturday July 9th is our big summer party! It will be the usual.. I’ll have burgers, dogs, etc., flatware, water, non-alcoholic drinks, and fireworks. You bring everything else like interesting food to share, your own alcoholic or other drinks. swimwear, towel, dry clothes (long sleeves or hoodies deter mosquitoes), soccer chairs in your trunk in case we run out. If you are new to this party, just ask. Also, dogs do not work with this many people. Please move things around as you see fit. If you need a table somewhere, move one. If you notice no serving tongs on a salad, find one in the bins under the tables. If the ice has melted under the guacamole, get some more from the ice cooler, or, eat the guac.
Make the party a party.
Bring an instrument, or, pickup one of the guitars, bongos, or sing along.
