Early rain on Tuesday will continue, which allows players to prepare for Saturday’s party.
Saturday, July 11th: The big, not-to-be-missed, summer party at Ankers Pond.
As usual, I’ll have the burgers, kolbassi, chicken, corn (if ready), softdrinks, bottled water, condiments, tableware, etc. You all bring sides like salads, chips, your own booze, desserts, exotic grill food, etc. We get going around noon to 1pm and go on past fireworks and pit fire time. It will be a long day. Stay over (tent, car, corner of some room) if you want (don’t drive if not sober). It may cool down at sunset, so a change of dry clothes, sweatshirt, etc., is wise (also mosquitos like to feast at dusk). Saturday looks like no rain, but if it does, we’ve handled the occasional thunderstorm before. They come, we run, they pass, and we’re back to fun.
Feel free to move stuff around.. like tables, chairs, games. There is no caterer. Take a turn at the grill. If the ketchup runs out or you find you need a garlic press, find it under the tables or in the house. If you see something, like forks, running low on the food table, get more out from the bins below the table! Again, we all are the caterer.
You can bring your families and close friends. Kids need lectured to be responsible so as to avoid injuries.
