ICE PARTY !!! NEW YEARS DAY !!!
The ice is ice. From noon and on. Early arrivers can help shovel the overnight snow. Bring the whole family.
I’ll have hot chocolate, coffee, soft drinks of sorts, and some snacks. Sledding should work, too. My property is, itself, a giant Ice Palace. Be very very careful driving and walking.
The great news……. I have a new spiffy skate sharpening machine which has converted my skate bins into skate bins filled with skates with some very shiny and sharp blades. There are skates of many sizes in the sunroom…a first come basis.

Tuesday’s update: Looking like an Ice Party
Tuesday afternoon update: Monday brought down a lot of rain onto the thick slab of ice on the pond. The top of the rainwater is freezing, but thin, with water sandwiched in between the two ice layers. I’ll check the freezing progress Wednesday morning. I expect to make the call “game on”.
Noon is a good start time. I’ll have hot chocolate, coffee, soft drinks of sorts, and some snacks. Sledding should work, too. My property is, itself, a giant Ice Palace. Be very careful driving and walking.

Probable New Years Day Ice Skating Party
Conditions and weather are looking to create a New Years Day Ice Skating Party. Currently, two thirds of the pond is shoveled and has good ice. Monday’s rain should freeze solid by Thursday. Mark your calendars, and watch for an update after the rain.
2025 is over :-(
Carlos has said it all, “Oh no!!!”. Looks like 2025 is history.
There will be a few of us at Elliot’s house to throw snowballs at him for ending our season.
I’ll be watching for snow-free ice for a skate party.

Time for the long underwear!
OK, 2 weeks ago we had a great turnout when the temps were just above freezing. Tuesday the 9th, it will drop below freezing. On the upside, there will be a snowy field to play on! I can’t wait to layout.
See you all Tuesday Dec 9th at the lit Tewksbury field at 6pm.
snowout, slushout, or rainout this Tuesday Dec 2nd
Playing in a blizzard would be a blast. 35 degree rain.. not so much. How about playing on a field of slush, in pouring rain, with the temperature at 35 degrees? It’s hard to resist the temptation!
However, driving in such a storm is to be avoided. Thus, “core BoD” have unanimously decided it is best to cancel Tuesday, Dec 2nd’s game.
Annual Reading Thanksgiving Sat Ultimate at 11am
Saturday, Nov 29 at 11am at Parker Middle School turf field in Reading, MA.
Many of our group participate in this ritual as well as their summer Friday Evening ultimate games. Expect a crowd (i.e. a lot of subs). The group is very friendly, and it has a wide range of talent. See you there!
Game Tuesday Nov 25th
Yes, we will keep playing, so long as we have the numbers. So far, so great.
Compared to the last two Tuesdays, our next game will feel balmy. Bring your hydration and sweat bands. See you all Tuesday Nov 25th at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.
Game Tuesday, Nov 18th
Good turnout for last week’s windblown game. We had a hilarious time as the disc went up/down/up/down/hit-the-hands/lands-on-the-ground. After that wind and low temps, we’ll be able to play through any winter weather. Just kidding, but we will keep playing until about when the ground freezes solid.
See you all Tuesday Nov 18th at the lit-up Tewksbury field at 6pm.
