BEACH !! BEACH !! BEACH !! Tuesday, July 29th

Beach weather for Seabrook Beach this Tuesday, July 29th. Park beyond the restroom. Directions to Seabrook Beach (and more).

Last week’s highlights:
The best throw-catch goes to Jeff A and Kevin F. Kevin was running into the endzone, just a half step in front of other Kevin. Jeff flung a hammer that went high, as hammers tend to do. Then came straight down perfectly swishing into the basket made of Kevin’s arms. There was no breaking stride, no change of direction, no chance for other Kevin to do anything to block it. The disc dropped straight down out of the sky right into Kevin’s arms.. better than the best NFL over-the-shoulder completions.

The best catch goes to Ashley. She was in the endzone and the pass was not perfect. It floated over her and was just out of her reach. She kept on it and went for the second chance. She got there, but just in time to initiate a bobble. Ashley kept her eye on the disc and finally grabbed it for the score.

Flirt of the night goes to Dale.

See you all this Tuesday at Seabrook Beach at 6:30.

Rainout !! Rainout !! Rainout !! Tuesday, July 15th

THE RAIN IS COMING IN.

IT LOOKS TOO IFFY TO DO ANYTHING BUT SAY THE DREADED WORD “RAINOUT”!

Time for a break from the heat of the field. The tides are coming into alignment for the next every-other-Tuesday through August. This Tuesday’s low tide is a little late in the evening at 8:40, but, I’m sure the ocean has warmed up by now. Remember to park past the restroom in the middle of the parking lot.
See you all Tuesday, July 15th at Seabrook Beach at 6:30.

Next game Tuesday, July 8th at the field

Summer heat continues! Plan accordingly.

From my chair on the sideline, I got a good view of last week’s heroes.
Catch of the week goes to Dave for his layout in the endzone. It’s good to see he still has it in him. Dave’s an inspiration for us all. We will overlook the time it took him to get up off the ground, and, those rumors that he merely happened to trip.
Surprise of the week goes to Jeremy who played with us for the first time. His low to the ground catches were especially amazing, and also, his quick flip and push passes.
Lastly, of the 2 injured players, Dale wins hands down. He was even a key player in the final goal of the night.

Party Lost & Found: 1 belt; 1 chewed disc; 1 Samsung white phone charger; 1 “NYC Aero” black shorts; 1 pair underwear

See you all Tuesday, July 8th in Tewksbury at 6:00.

Scorcher Tuesday, July 1st

The high is forecast for mid-90s! Bring your water bottles and mist tent.

I thank everyone for pulling together to pull off a great picnic/party. The band was awesome and the fireworks were superb. The fireworks pot didn’t quite cover this year, so, if you can give me a $10 or so, I’ll get it to Fred and he will appreciate it.

Fantastic weather for a fantastic party!

Saturday, June 28th: Summer party at Anker’s Pond from noon to midnight
52 Chase Rd. Londonderry, NH 603-965-6563 (cell) 603-437-7113 (wired)
I’ll have plenty of burgers and dogs. You all can bring salads, snacks, desserts, and exotic grill food.
I’ll have some common beer and sodas. You can bring your fancy stuff if you wish.
The goal is to have a nice spread of food and drink that lasts all day.
Come as if you are going to the beach, because you are. Some like to wear pond shoes, especially for exploring away from the beach. We have a lot of chairs, but never enough.
The band will be playing again this year. It evolved into an open stage by late night. You can bring your songs and join in. Fred will be putting on his spectacular fireworks show again. Contributions are welcome. Look for the fireworks contribution bucket. Hard partiers are encouraged to stay the night on the porch, living room, or in a tent.

So, I’ll see you all Saturday. Enjoy the beach and Markey’s tonight, Thursday, June 26th at 6:30.

Last Tuesday: Kitt redeems himself! A week prior, Kitt embarrassingly wore a yellow shirt to the game. That’s worse than wearing a yellow pinnie home after the game. Kitt’s shame reversed this week as he pulled in the catch of the game. Kitt was outnumbered in the endzone by about 3 to 1, and his team threw to him anyway. It was the “throw it to the surrounded short guy in the endzone” play. Tall new Jeff was defending and smacked the disc with a killer block. Bodies tumbled as others swatted at the disc. Kitt was somewhere on the bottom of the pile down in the endzone trench. I thought the play was over. No. Up from the depths of the trench, arises Kitt with the disc! Amazing!
