This band of rain should end soon, but, it is followed by another band which arrives at the field just after we do. Looks like a rainout to me. See you next Tuesday June 8th.

Take your pick: rain or heat. It could be either in Tewksbury on Tuesday the 1st of June. Watch out your window and watch the animated weather. We’ll try to call it yay or nay by 4:00.

Last Tuesday was a cooker. Our hottest weather so far this year. I think the heat turned away more players than the threat of rain. Subs were at a premium. We played with 1 sub on a 90ish degree day! Then, I can’t believe he did this. Tim, of all seasoned players, sneaks away and leaves. OMG! I wonder if he was laughing as he left. 90 degrees and no subs! Oh, did we curse Tim. Yep, we plotted revenge and invented some nasty names for him. But, we got stuck on 1 biggie.. does Tim deserve the “Bozo of the week” award? Please, post your comments on the webpage.

P.S. Rich L. may be the hero-of-the-day since he showed up, albeit late, and, got us back up to 1 sub. I will note that Rich arrived during the game-to-5. Make that.. during the game-to-5 with the score 4-to-4 which could put him in a catagory closer to Tim.

P.P.S. Hammer-of-the-day goes to Eric R. It was half the field long and dead on target in the endzone.

We had a great game last week. The rain held off until the game-to-5 which is just when you welcome it.

Spring is here to stay! Well, until summer takes over. See you in Tewksbury at 6:00.

I was grabbing my stuff to head out to my car to head to Tewksbury.  Then, I looked outside.  The weather map confirms.. WE ARE SCREWED  🙁

The rain is not ending 🙁  No game.  Next game May 4th.

The field’s benches have finally deteriorated to death. Bring a lawn chair or blanket if you care not to sit on the grass.

I believe we played our longest game ever on Sinking Horse Field!  And the play of the night was a throw by Curt.  You see..  the field is lined by trees.  Curt’s throw was end-to-end.  But it arced way out of bounds and somehow managed to pass through all the branches, twigs, and trunks in its path.  It came down in the endzone for a score.  It was a “pretty” throw.  Everybody said so, however, everyone followed “pretty” with a different adjective.

Hey, it was super to see everyone and catch up on 6 months of life.  Thanks Tim and Nancy.

Our insurance for the Tewksbury field begins on April 13th. Let’s get started on the 6th with a warm up game/party at Sinking Horse Field in Tim’s backyard. Details to follow (basically: play, eat, drink, socialize).
