Game Tuesday, June 21st at the field

If you missed the June 7th photo shoot, bring your smile this Tuesday. We will try a few ideas to get your mug onto the 40 year disc. No promises! It is a disc art designer’s challenge.

We have some summer weather this week!

See you all Tuesday, June 21st, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Beach !!!!! this Tuesday, June 14th

Sunny and 70s. Need I say more?

This Tuesday’s game will be at Seabrook Beach. It is worth the drive!
The weather looks great for June, plus, there is less wind predicted than we have been experiencing in Tewksbury. Spectators should dress warm since those 30 yards up from the surf can be a lot cooler than inland.
The http://frizzbee.com website has a directions page (where to park is important) http://frizzbee.com/index.php/2010/02/18/directions-to-seabrook-beach/

Last week’s photo shoot was a success. Some great photos have been passed onto our esteemed Disc Designer, Kevin. If you missed the photo shoot, be at the field Tuesday, June 21st. We are scheming ways to incorporate a few faces/bodies without it looking like a tacky hack. No promises, but we will try.

Dave (with pinnies) will see you all Tuesday, June 14th, at Seabrook Beach at 6:30.

Game Tuesday, May 31st, in Tewksbury

HEADS UP !!! Our ALL PLAYERS PHOTO SHOOT is planned for Tuesday June 7th.
This is the photo which will be printed on our 40th year disc.
Please make all attempts to attend (or send your stunt double).
Of course, this date depends on the weather.. including the wind.

Last week’s gopher hole filling is a success! We had zero twisted ankles! YAY Unfortunately, somehow the gopher hole filling has had the unexpected side effect of increasing our black eye count. BOO Fortunately, black eyes heal quicker. Oooo another YAY. YAYs win!

See you all this Tuesday, May 31st, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Game Tuesday, May 24th, in Tewksbury

I’ll be there early to stuff some rocks and dirt into those worm holes to China. Not the dump-trailer full of topsoil; just targeting some holes.

See you all Tuesday, May 24th, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm. Closer to 5 if filled holes interest you.

Game Tuesday, May 10th, in Tewksbury

Summer’s coming!

Disc news: We are in search of a drone with the best camera for our 40 yr disc design.  If you have such drone/camera, or know of someone with one, please let me know!  Your recognizable face depends on it!

See you Tuesday, May 10th, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Game Tuesday, May 3rd, at Tewksbury

Cool and dry. We are in between Monday night rain and Wednesday rain. Perfect! I suppose.

We will continue our disc design discussion. We are leaning towards a drone photo of us on the field. We need to decide how to arrange ourselves. Assume, many many will come out for the photo. We need to leave room for something like “MVU 40 yrs”, or, more/different, if we so decide. Bring your ideas Tuesday, May 3rd, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

RAINOUT Tuesday April 26th

Tough call since it is not raining now. Judging by the radar, rain clouds magically appear over Tewksbury just before game-time. NO GAME THIS TUESDAY. Instead, check out the photo discs and gather your thoughts on this years disc design.

Last week, it was too windy, or cold, or something to discuss disc designs. This week, it may be too wet. We need to keep it going.

Our current leading discussion topic on disc design, is to use a drone to take a photo of us on the field. We would be arranged, somehow, within a circle. There’s a lot of options there. A concern is, would it look good printed on a disc?

I searched around, expecting to find discs with team photos on them. There’s next to nothing. There are plenty of photos on discs. See:
Ultra-Star Supercolor search
Hall of Fame
Collage
3/4 inch tall person
6-person
Beach Photo

Most of these are printed within the raised rings on the disc. Some are disc golf discs. Please check them out, and, we can discuss. Share your thoughts.

See you all, weather permitting, Tuesday, April 26th in Tewksbury, at 6pm.

Next Game: Tuesday, April 19th in Tewksbury

Wow! What a start to the season. It’s great to see everyone again.
A first… we had our first third generation player.. Kate Merrick. Her grandfather, Tom, held the Old Timer award until Dave worked and worked and worked hard to dethrone him.

Early morning rain will give way to some nice disc in the evening.  It will be early spring temperatures.  Let’s continue our disc design discussions.
See you all Tuesday, April 19th, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm, until we turn the lights off.
