Time to celebrate the winners of the Championship Game!
Sunday, October 17th, from 1pm on.
At Ankers Pond, 52 Chase Rd Londonderry, NH
This will be outside to minimize parasite spread.
We will socialize, eat, play games, plan our winters, and do the awards.
As usual, this is a family & friends event. It will be pot-luck. I’ll have the grill going and have burgers, or chicken, or squirrels to share. BYOB. I have an assortment of other drinks, plus some alcoholic beverages left over (still in the frig) from the summer party.
Bring an award to present. Or, give me suggestions ASAP via 603-965-6563, bill@ankers.org. Note, you must be present to receive an award.
While we have the numbers, we will continue post-season play, Tuesday evenings at the field at 5:30.
Season Championship Game this Tuesday, Oct 12th, on the field.
The lights are working great! The weather is unbeatable for October.
End-of-season party this Sunday at 1pm and on. As usual, this is a family & friends event. It will be pot-luck. I’ll have the grill going and have burgers, or chicken, or squirrels to share. BYOB. I have an assortment of other drinks, plus some alcoholic beverages left over (still in the frig) from the summer party. To keep everyone safe, this is outside. [We are watching the weekend weather. Right now, Sunday looks best due to less chance of rain.]
Get your Award suggestions to me ASAP. Text 603-965-6563 or email bill@ankers.org
The weather is holding in the 70s! We have VIP parking! We have glow necklaces and light-up frizzbees! Game on !!
A 5:15 game start will give us 1 1/2 hours of play. Most of us park along the long white fence along Hooksett St.
Plan for an end-of-season party Sunday afternoon, Oct 17th (assuming good weather) outside, here at my house in Londonderry. Get your trophy nominations to me ASAP!
Previous message:
I love the passion of the beach lovers wanting to have an unprecedented record breaking beach night in OCTOBER !!! The weather will be warm enough, as long as we are running. The game will be long enough, as long as players can get there early. The after-dinner will be delightful, too, as we will have plenty of time to chat and eat and drink and chat.
It will be a good idea to let me, or everyone, know if you are coming. I do not expect any cold feet from the enthusiastic beach lovers 🙂
Low tide is at 5:23 (perfect!) Official sunset is at 6:16 and it stays light about a half hour longer. Shoot to be at the beach at 5:15! You can park near the beach access. Most of us parked along the long white fence.
Lastly, the weekend of October 16th or 17th looks good to have an end of season party, outside! You can step up to host it, or, we can have it here in Londonderry.
The rain should be ending between 5:30 and 6:00. Bring a spare pair of sox.
Wear something light colored, but not yellow.
There is a ground swelling of barefoot players wanting to play at Seabrook Beach on Tuesday October 5th. Air your thoughts this Tuesday.
Floating this up. To keep an end-of-season party out of a confined space, we could have it outside on a weekend, in the daytime. This allows us to continue with post-season play, under the lights, as long as it works. Air your thoughts.
See you Tuesday, September 28th at the Tewksbury field, at 5:30.
Really, sources tell me that “resident parking” is over for the season. Parking right by the beach access will shave 15 minutes off of you getting to Seabrook Beach on Tuesday September 21st by 5:30! That gives us over 1 1/2 hours of play. The forecast says the air will be warm. The calendar says it is still summer, so, the water will be warm. The moon says it will be there for us! Woot woot !
Last Tuesday, the field lights worked better than they look. About half of them came on bright! I’ll take it.
See you Tuesday, Sept 21st at Seabrook Beach at 5:30.
Let there be sunshine! A quick test, showed the field lights are working!
Game on at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday Sept 14th at 6pm until midnight!
Other news:
The beach lovers want to return to Seabrook on Sept 21st. If the weather holds, this will set a record or two.
Next year is our 40th, time for a new disc! Kevin Fuller, you out there? Anyone?
We will need a host for the end of season party.
