Tewksbury, Tuesday, August 31st

What a great Beach night last week. Perfect all around. I’m biased.. I had my best layout of the season 🙂 A good beach night in August, means the sand lovers are pushing for another beach night on Tuesday Sept 7th! From this distance, the weather is looking fine. The sun sets shortly after 7pm, so, we will start at 5:30. Plan accordingly! Skip the sunscreen.

This week’s game is in Tewksbury (Pete), Tuesday Aug 31st at 6pm

Summertime in Tewksbury, Tuesday Aug 17th

Sorry to disappoint you rain lovers, but we will have a beautiful evening for ultimate this Tuesday. I hope I will finally get all of Markey’s lobster picked out of my teeth by then. Next time I’ll have to use Mike E’s technique of flushing the lobster out with Hogies Too ice cream.

See you all on Tuesday August 17th at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Seabrook Beach Tuesday, July 27th

Finally, a warm evening at the beach!
Low tide is late again, so, 6:15 is a good arrival time.

BROWNS afterwards! There’s a good bit of beer and other alcoholic beverages left over from the party. I have kept it cool, and I will bring it to Browns which allows carry-in beverages. Browns is the restaurant across the street from Markey’s. Their food options are similar, but, they are slower, which means more time to drink the beer!

Beach Runner’s Delight, Tuesday July 13th

Our Cool Coast Summer Games continue! Yet another beach day with a high in the 60s. These have been great for us players! There’s no contention for sand, parking, or post-play seafood. The low tide is shifting from Thursday to Tuesday. This Tuesday’s low tide is not until 8:45. Let’s start closer to 6:30 for the sake of those who play in sneakers.

See you all Tuesday, July 13th at Seabrook Beach at 6:30.

My thanks to all of you that pitched in to make Saturday another epic party!

SATURDAY, SUMMER PICNIC/PARTY (see green below) !!!!

Tuesday, July 6th, at the Tewksbury field. Done!! And, awesome!! For me, 3 teams of 7 is perfect! You can play your hardest, and get a break.

Thursday, July 8th, rainout at Seabrook Beach.

Saturday, July 10th, at Ankers Pond. This is our big summer party, not to be missed. The yard, beach, and pond are looking great. Below is a re-post-plus of the details.

Summer Picnic:

  • When: Saturday, July 10th from 1pm on past fireworks, into the night, and, stay overnight if you wish.
  • Where: Ankers Pond (on Google maps), 52 Chase Rd. Londonderry NH
  • Who: We call this our “Frizzbee and Friends” party. Bring the family.
  • My cell: 603 – 965 – 6563
  • Food: I pick up burgers, hot-dogs, kolbassi, a number of soft drinks, bottled water, and some beer. Everyone else (you) bring the snacks, salads, fruits, desserts, other grill food, tasty beer.. you get the picture. It’s a long day and we consume a lot of food and drink. This is not catered.. everyone needs to pitch in to grill, slice tomatoes, run to the house to grab the forgotten salt and pepper.
  • What to expect: Pretty much a beach scene. Swim, zip, splash, volleyball, poleish horseshoes, horse horseshoes, corn hole, camp fire(s), shenanigans. If a game is not set up or needs moved, do it!
  • Music: Bring it! There is always some jamming that happens. No big band this year, so, it is on us. Watch out, Dave and I have practiced together once!
  • Caution: This is a pond. Some like water shoes. Right now, there’s an outbreak of deer flies. There will be mosquitos by firework time, and often it cools down (a hoodie cures both).
  • Other Stuff to Bring: Sunscreen, towel, and extra dry clothes. We are usually short a few chairs (I could not buy a picnic table this year due to shortages). Please don’t bring your dog; too many people have them.
