Tewksbury, Tuesday June 29th

Awww, fantastic beach night last Tuesday. I love running on sand… until the next day, of course.

Make sure you have Saturday July 10th on your calendar! With everyone itching to get out and socialize, our summer picnic/party will be a hugely awesome return to normality.

Summer Picnic:

  • When: Saturday, July 10th from 1pm on past fireworks, into the night, and, stay overnight if you wish.
  • Where: Ankers Pond (on Google maps), 52 Chase Rd. Londonderry NH
  • Who: This is a family event. We call this our “Frizzbee and Friends” party.
  • My cell: 603 – 965 – 6563
Food: I pick up burgers, hot-dogs, kolbassi, a number of soft drinks, bottled water, and some beer. Everyone else (you) bring the snacks, salads, fruits, desserts, other grill food, tasty beer.. you get the picture. It’s a long day and we consume a lot of food and drink. This is not catered.. everyone needs to pitch in to grill, slice tomatoes, run to the house to grab the forgotten salt and pepper.
  • What to expect: Pretty much a beach scene. Swim, zip, splash, volleyball, poleish horseshoes, horse horseshoes, corn hole, camp fire(s), shenanigans.
  • Music: Bring it! There is always some jamming that happens. No big band this year, so, it is on us. Watch out, Dave and I have practiced together once!
  • Caution: This is a pond. Some like water shoes. Right now, there’s an outbreak of deer flies. There will be mosquitos by firework time, and often it cools down (a hoodie cures both).
  • Other Stuff to Bring: Sunscreen, towel, and extra dry clothes.

See you this Tuesday, June 29th at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Rainout Tuesday, Seabrook Beach Thursday

Looks like the rain will not let up.
Rainout Tuesday June 22nd

We have a gorgeous evening coming this Thursday with NO RAIN INSIGHT!
Low tide is at 5:45, so, lets plan on starting as close to 6pm as you can make it.

See you at Seabrook Beach Thursday June 24th at 6pm!

Tuesday Tewksbury! Thursday Seabrook Beach

Last Tuesday, the sprinklers came on for a bit while we played.
It helped to cool us down. And, we got better!
In the early evening heat, we had the most
throws ever, ever, ever, going blatantly to the other team.
Later, the only “wrong team” throws went to JJ, who is now
the leading contender for Bozo Of The Year, for wearing a yellow tee shirt.

Tuesday, June 22nd will be a normal evening at the Tewksbury field with nice not-hot temperatures. See you at 6pm

Thursday, June 24th, we have another Seabrook Beach night. This looks to be a nice “running” evening (i.e. temperatures in the low 70s). Low tide is at 5:45, so, lets plan
on starting as close to 6pm as you can make it. The beach is narrower this year.

Tewksbury, Tuesday June 15th ! WE ARE ON !!

The weather may have washed us out last Tuesday, but, we beat the weather on Thursday at Seabrook Beach. 10 of us enjoyed decent temperatures and stood strong against the ample wind. By far, Ashley had the most “wet” plays. The assist of the game, goes to Eric. The disc was throw fairly long and with the wind. But, it was coming up short of the endzone and short of Chris. As Chris reversed direction and came up for the disc, enter Eric for the block. Eric delivered solid smack, but, remember the wind. The smack sent the disc higher. Chris reversed again to chase down the disc.. catching it in the endzone. Score! There should be some name for a play where the defender executes on his defense, but, inadvertently assists in the other team’s score. Suggestions?

I have been told that the Tewksbury field will be watered, again, this Tuesday afternoon.  They should be done watering the field by game time.  If they have trouble turning off the sprinklers, again, we will have to do a late in the afternoon “GAME ON” or “RAINOUT” call.  Our MVUF goal has been to call the game by 4pm.  I’m leaning to play with wet feet and maybe a wet head.

Next game on Tuesday, June 15th at the Tewkesbury field at 6pm. See you there.

Seabrook Beach, Thursday June 10th is ON !!

We have 10 “in” for Seabrook Beach!! The weather is looking OK, just cool. Come on out for seacoast fun and Markeys! Low tide is at 6:30 !!!! This means we will be able to play dry!

Let’s shoot for 6pm to get play in before it cools off. Remember to park in the northern end of the big parking lot on 1A (avoid resident parking spots). Directions from our website.

Please RSVP via all @ frizzbee .com or bill @ ankers .org, so we know who to expect.

RAINOUT Tuesday June 8th

The rain is inevitable! Bummer. No game on June 8th.

As of this morning, we have 8 people for Seabrook Beach on Thursday, June 10th. That is enough to have fun! Please RSVP.

From last posting:
Thursday, June 10th, is a much cooler day. Seabrook expects 66 degrees, inland, at 6pm, and dropping, and, with a 10 mph wind. At the beachfront, it is often 5 to 10 degrees cooler. Normally, we would not take on such conditions. Thus, we will need a strong head count by 5pm Wednesday!!! I’ll be looking for “I’m in!” names via all @ frizzbee .com or bill @ ankers .org.

Game, Tuesday, June 8th in Tewksbury (possibly Thursday at Seabrook Beach, too)

Wow, last Tuesday was “Old Regulars” night. Good to see everyone coming out. Unless one of you scared the interns away. I hope to see them again.

Tuesday June 8th is a normal (albeit hot) Tewksbury game, at 6pm. See you then.

Rain is over. Game is on, Tuesday June 1st

Great to have some interns bump our numbers up into the 20s. This made for some pretty exciting play with a lot of handling in order to score a point.

Super news on the beach front. The big parking lot at Seabrook Beach is open as normal (south end is for townies, north end is for us). Plus, Markey’s is back to staying open until 9pm. Plus, the weather is looking promising for a Seabrook Beach night on Thursday June 10th! It’s going to be a great summer

See you all Tuesday, June 1st, at the Tewksbury field at 6pm.

Summer continues Tuesday, May 25th, in Tewksbury

I am loving this weather. We even ate outside at the 99 last week. Speaking of last week, player of the week goes to Natalie! JJ and Natalie are now up to 3 future ultimate stars. Kudos to JJ for staying home last week to be dad, although I hear he was tempted to come to the game.

See you all at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday, May 25th at 6pm.

Game Tuesday, May 18th in Tewksbury

Power player of the week goes to the Beach-Strength Wind. Now, we are ready for Seabrook!

The Play of the Week was a series of plays. Biller was in the endzone and looking open. Not so. Danny hustled in for the block and turnover. Next throw.. another turnover! Biller zips back into the endzone to get the point. NOT SO! Danny comes in again for the point-stealing block. Back out of the endzone the disc is thrown. Turnover again! Biller, still in good position, zips along the goal line and just inside the endzone. This time a great throw and Biller stretches out for the layout! But no point! Danny rockets across for a third time to tip the disc away. That’s 3 goal-stopping blocks within a minute. Way to go Danny!

See you all in Tewksbury on Tuesday May 18th at 6pm.
