Disc Golf at Muldoon Park, Tuesday, May 26th at 6pm

Keep up your throwing accuracy! Really, disc golf is great for tweaking your precision. In line with our normal practices, we don’t keep score. Hmmm, maybe we should on the 18th basket!

We’ll be at Muldoon Park on Mammoth Rd. in Pelham, NH at 6pm. The disc golf course is as far as you can drive into the park, by the closed playground. This is a way we can get some social time in while staying as safe a distance from others as you are comfortable with.

Golf or Ultimate this Tuesday, May 26th?

Please weight in on your preference. We had a real nice social time last Tuesday playing Disc Golf at Muldoon Park in Pelham, NH. We joined Phil’s Thursday evening “Woburn” group, and, it was awesome to play an ultimate game at Soule School field in Salem, NH. Real awesome. And, we feasted at Jocelyn’s in Salem at their outdoor seating. Actual socializing!

Options:
A) We play Disc Golf at Muldoon Park
B) We go 2 miles north of Muldoon Park to Elmer G. Raymond Fields in Pelham to play ultimate. If enough do not show for an ultimate game, we retreat to Disc Golf.
C) We play Disc Golf at Muldoon Park on Tuesday, and, join Phil’s group at Soule field in Salem, on Thursday.

Reply to all with which options you would consider. Do not reply if you are not joining us. I will be out backpacking, so, I’ll sift through responses late Sunday night or Monday morning.

Frizzbee Golf at Muldoon Park, Pelham NH, 6:00 Tuesday May 19th

Drive in as far as you can go to the closed playground. Walk past the playground to the Disc Golf course which is in the woods. Very in the woods. Deanna and I were there a few days ago and we did not experience bugs, but, I see black flies beginning to come out this weekend. Note, about half the “holes” have the chains removed, but the baskets remain.

We live 5 miles north from Muldoon Park. After the game, we can grill up some burgers at 52 Chase Rd. Londonderry.

Thursday, there is an ultimate game in Salem, NH. Stay posted!

See you all Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at the Disc Golf course in Pelham NH. If you can’t find it, let me know. 603-965-6563

Our field is still closed per landlord. FRIZZBEE GOLF INSTEAD, Tuesday May 19th !!

Our field’s management company does not have a “field opening plan”, yet. Deanna and I will be at Pelham’s Muldoon Park on Mammoth Road, at the disc golf course, at 6:00pm, Tuesday May 19th. We play with our ultimate discs and don’t keep score… just have fun. Please join us! The disc golf course is as far as you can drive into the Park (by the closed playground). See you there!

Hoping to start on May 12th

I do not have an update from either USA Ultimate or the field owner on whether May 12 will happen. Massachusetts appears to be still into the virus. We will begin when we can. Probably no Season Opener party. The Summer Party is definitely happening!

A New Beginning

USA Ultimate has declared that all sanctioned activities are cancelled until May 10th. I’ve updated the schedule to say that we will begin on Tuesday May 12th. Of course, that is subject to change. Our tradition has our opening party on the Tuesday before which is May 5th. As that time approaches, we can poll to see how comfortable everyone is to gather close together. We will need a host for the season opener party. Summer party is on Saturday, July 11th.

Meanwhile, we’ve been tossing the disc at our local school field (no one’s there). Plus, there’s a disc golf course right near me in Pelham. If anyone is interested in tossing in any fashion, let it be known!

Stay healthy! Don’t let yourself get run down. Get plenty of sleep. Get exercise. See you all soon.

Tuesday Oct 22nd End of 2019 Season Party !!! 6pm and on!

Woot Woot! A new venue for this year’s party.
Jeff and Daniela have a new house for us to celebrate in.
Details just below.
Generally, it is a BYOB and pot luck with a lot of delicious food. Jeff will let us know if he wants people to bring specifics like paper plates, sodas, 40 gallon tub of jello, etc. Or, you can let him know what you are volunteering.

From Jeff:

Hello everyone,

First off we are looking forward to hosting this year!  Going to be a good time!!!

*** address removed ***

As far as the party supplies go we will be providing the following:

  • Burgers
  • Dogs
  • Veggie Burgers
  • Turkey Burgers
  • Paper plates / napkins / cutlery / etc
  • A couple of healthy sides Daniela can eat (Or maybe a soup)
  • Some left over bud lime-a-rita’s from a previous party that we are never going to drink

What we are not providing (Please bring):

  • Other sides
  • Other alcoholic beverages
  • Desserts
  • HDMI Cable (For Eric’s laptop if it takes anything other than straight HDMI)

Additionally,
Ofrenda del día de muertos (Day of the dead altar)

What is an ‘ofrenda’ you may ask?  Clearly you haven’t seen Coco (You should see Coco)  Basically, it is an altar to remember those who have passed.  A place to put photos and other offering of those no longer with us and reflect upon their memories. It is originally rooted in Aztec tradition but adopted by many in Mexico these days.  Daniela and I have decided to begin observing this tradition this year as we both feel it is a beautiful tradition that keeps people in your memory.

We have already reached out to Dale who has provided me with photos of Scott Smith, Thom O’Malley, and Tom Merrick which we will be adding to the altar.  If anyone has a photo of Tom Merrick playing Frisbee that would be preferred to the one that we already have, which is the one from his obituary.
If anyone else has a photo or something that they want to add to the altar for the night you are welcome to you do not have to at all. (And space will be somewhat limited)

Well that about covers that.  If anyone has any questions about what to bring or where to park feel free to email us, and we will respond as soon as we can.

Thanks again for an amazing season and we hope to see you all on Tuesday!!!!
-Jeff and Daniela
