Tewksbury Field from here on out

Next game, Tuesday, August 18th at the Tewksbury field at 6:00.

Play of the week goes to Nick for a low-to-the-ground (even for Nick) catch just outside the endzone. Staying composed and still on his knees, Nick tossed it into the endzone for a score in the highly competitive game-to-5.

Catch of the week goes to Kevin F. for an over the shoulder running catch in the endzone. It was a route out of the Patriots play book.

See you Tuesday with your water bottles.

Next sweat, Tuesday, August 4th in Tewksbury

By now, we should be acclimated to summer heat.
Enjoy the sweat.. I’ll be on vacation!

Best play of the season (so far): Mike and Kitt. They did 1 better than a “Greatest”. They pulled off a “Greatest” for a score! Mike was in an across-the-endzone sprint to get open. The disc was thrown on target with Mike’s path, but, well, out-of-bounds, so, we will not give the thrower any credit (or should we?). Alertly, Mike checked his feet at the boundary line, then sprawled out to grab the ‘bee a good 5 or 6 feet out beyond the sideline, and fling it back into the crowded endzone. Not surprisingly, it was Kitt who scrambled to clasp the disc just before it hit the ground. Catch! score! applause! The crowd went wild.

Next game at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday, August 4th at 6:00.

Tewksbury Field Tuesday July 28th

WORST YEAR EVER FOR TIDES!
Damn that climate change. It moved evening low tides to the weekends this year.
Good news. Fewer drives to the beach means we will reverse the trend for next year.
We will play at the Tewksbury field every Tuesday evening this summer.
One more beach night on Thursday, August 13th.

See you at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday, July 28th at 6:00 with water bottle in hand.

Tuesday at Tewksbury. Thursday at Seabrook Beach

After another fun filled picnic party, we should all be pumped up for ultimate Tuesday at the Tewksbury field, and, again Thursday at Seabook Beach.

See you Tuesday, July 14th, at the Tewksbury field at 6:00.

See you again Thursday, July 16th, at Seabrook Beach at 6:30.  Low tide is 6:45.

Triple Header: Beach Party, Tewksbury, and Seabrook

Beach Party Saturday, July 11th, from noon on and on and on!

Same scene as in previous years.  I’ll have plenty of burgers and dogs, corn, soda, non-fancy beer, and bottled water.  All of you get to bring the salads, chips, desserts, and wine and other fancy stuff. It’s a long day and it is wonderful feasting on the great variety of food that appears.  Please chip in to the Fireworks Fund if you can.  There is a GoFundMe set up, plus, we will have a Fireworks Fund Donation Bucket.  A handful of us have bought the fireworks in the past.  It would be appreciated if we can spread this out to others.  The Not Fade Away Band will be playing again.  Others, can join in at times.  Camping, or, crashing somewhere in our house, is encouraged!  Don’t drive home impaired!  Plus, the music may go late, there will be a campfire, and pancakes/waffles in the morning.

There is a lot of seating, but, it helps if a few people bring lawn/beach chairs.  Some like “water shoes” to explore the pond with.  Lastly, it has been a banner year for mosquitoes in NH, and, the rain has kept them hatching.  Long sleeves at dusk may help.

DETAILS:
52 Chase Rd.  Londonderry, NH 03053
We have a long bumpy drive way on the east side of Chase Rd. with an old picket fence running along it.  Park on the front lawn, driveway, and along the street.

Tewksbury on Tuesday, July 7th.

This week, back to the field which should have some of its holes filled in. Thanks 495 Buisness Center.

Given that we had 2 simultaneous games, the play of the week that I saw goes to Ruben who is a friend of Sam Naftal. A water play, of course. Ruben was getting open in the wet side of the endzone when the course of the thrown disc lost its bearings. Ruben had to scramble through the defense to get to where the disc was coming down. The disc descended between Ruben and the defense, and there was some bobbling. I’m not sure who hit is how many times. Ruben went down backwards flat into the surf. The disc fluttered down. Then, Ruben earned this honor by shooting up backwards out of the water to make a water born layout to grab the disc.

Family play of the week: Eric’s swing throw to his daughter Ashley who in turn tossed it into the endzone for a score.

Left at the beach: Phillips Academy disc. Dale will bring it to the field.

See you at the Tewksbury field, Tuesday, July 7th at 6:00.
