Beach Tuesday night Aug 16th

AS OF 3:30, THE SUN IS SHINING IN NASHUA.  THE RAIN CLOUDS ARE ALMOST ALL DISSOLVED.  WE WILL HAVE A RAINLESS BEACH TO OURSELVES.  WE ARE ON!

Low tide is 8:13. Game time is 6:30. Feast time is 8:30.
It will be running weather at the beach (i.e. a high of 74 degrees). The rain will be moving out, but, some pockets of drizzle may remain. Plan accordingly.

See you at Seabrook Beach on Aug 16th at 6:30.

Seabrook Beach this Tuesday!

Watch for thundershowers. It will be good beach weather if the typical summer storms bypass the beach. It’s positively beach weather here in Ocean City, MD.

Enjoy ultimate this Tuesday, August 2nd in Seabrook Beach at 6:30.

Party! Party! Party!

The Beach Party is this Saturday the 23 of July from noon ’til dusk. Plug (address info deleted post party) into your GPS (I hear Google Maps takes you to our neighbor’s house, so, look for the 52 on the old fence alongside our long driveway).

Dress to get wet. It will be hot, but, you will not notice the heat if you are in and out of the pond. The “115 db band” is “d” for Dave, “b” for Bill, and 115 for our combined ages.. rounded up (we are not really a band). Feel free to join in.

We’ll have the grill going with burgers and dogs, a cooler full of Bud or Miller, a cooler full of sodas, and a water jug full of ice water. Feel free to add to the menu, but only if you want to.

We’ll have the usual volleyball, badmitten, horseshoes, swimming, float rings, kayaks, canoes, trampolines, and zip line. Beaver Brook is dropping, but, has enough water in it for a half mile paddle. Make yourself at home and let’s have some fun!

Need more info.. email/call me for details. (contact info deleted post party).

Beach! Beach! Beach! on the 19th!

We will alternate between the field and beach until September. This week, it’s Seabrook Beach. The tide will be like last beach night.. it won’t be low until 9:25. We will start on a narrow, drain-trenched field and the field will grow wide, wide, wide!

Put Saturday afternoon (from noon until dusk) the 23rd of July on your calendar for a beach party at our pond. We’ll have the usual volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, kayaks, grill food. You can ask Scott how the 400 foot zip line is (it’s a wet ride)! Bring your guitar if you wish to join in with the “115 db band”. We are on our own for the Eskimo roll. I suggest a leisurely paddle down Beaver Brook. Directions to our pond are available from any GPS with 52 Chase Rd. Londonderry, NH plugged into it, or, email/call me for details. bill@ankers.org / 603-437-7113 / 603-965-6563.

Ben gets the catch of the night for pulling in a point while surrounded by 3 defenders.

Hot one in Tewksbury, 12 July Plus an Anker Beach party on 23rd

We will alternate between the field and beach until September.  This week, it’s the Tewksbury field.  It will be a water bottle night.

Put Saturday afternoon the 23rd of July on your calendar for a beach party at our pond. We’ll have the usual volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, kayaks, grill food. You can ask Scott how the 400 foot zip line is (it’s a wet ride)! Bring your guitar if you wish to join in with the “115 db band” . If we are lucky, Sarah will be teaching us the eskimo roll (Sarah, are you listening?). Directions will be posted, or, email/call me for details. bill@ankers.org / 603-965-6563.

Scooter gets last Tuesday’s the catch of the night.  Well, he didn’t actually catch the disc.  But, he did attempt to catch it with a big splash.  I didn’t see any completed wet layouts.  Must have been the cool water.

See you all Tuesday, July 12th at 6:00 in Tewksbury.

Beach! Beach! Beach!

Yes, we have sun.  Yes, we have warmth.  Yes, we have sand.  Yes, we have ocean.  Yes, we have Markey’s, too.

Tuesday July 5th will be a Seabrook Beach night.  Be there at 6:30.  The water will be high as the tide does not hit low until about 9:30.  We’ll start with a very narrow field.  Directions can be found from the “About” tab.

Play of the week goes to Kevin for his corner-of-the-end-zone dive and score!   He had to reach out of bounds to catch the disc, but, his feet were in.   It was a catch that he really was determined to get, and Kevin looked very happy, and maybe a bit surprized, at pulling it off.

See you all (and Dave, too) at 6:30!

Next game: Tuesday June 28th

Beach weather is almost here! This week, Tewksbury, next week, Seabrook.

Last week, the MVP goes to Roger for all his endzone catches. Looks like someone will have to cover him.

See you all at 6:00 in Tewksbury.

Celebration of Life for Scott Smith

From an early age, Scott Smith has played ultimate with us.  You would most likely have seen him at the beach and at Markeys.  Scott’s father, Ted, has been a solid member of our ultimate group for at least 2 decades.  This Sunday, please join the Smiths in a Celebration of Life in Scott’s honor.
